CMAT is a national level admission Test for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE. Generally, the CMAT is held twice a year in the months of February and September as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2017-18. AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT in Foreign Countries for facilitating eligible NRIs/PIOs and foreign nationals to appear in CMAT for seeking admission in institutions in India following CMAT merit list for 2017-18 under special provisions defined in AICTE Approval Process and against all vacancies left after completion of centralised admission in management institutions.
Eligibility for CMAT 2017
Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for 2016 can apply.
Note: In case of foreign nationals, it will be as per recognition and equivalence standards notified by Association of Indian Universities.
CMAT Test Pattern & Syllabus
CMAT is a computer-based test (CBT). A candidate reads the questions on a computer terminal and chooses an answer by clicking on the correct option. Duration of exam will be 180 minutes. A Trial test will be available from 11th December onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation functionality.

How to Apply for CMAT 2017
Step I: Enter as New User is www.aicte-cmat.in
Step II: Self registration- Enter details to get an 6 digit password. Re-login to the registration portal as an EXISTING USER with your e-mail id and this unique 6 digit password to complete self-registration.
Step III: Payment Process – Either online or cash
ONLINE: Select ONLINE PAYMENT mode and then pay using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking. On the completion of the payment, a confirmation email and SMS is sent to you.
CASH: Select PAY BY CASH, print the already filled-in challan and deposit the cash in any designated bank branches of State Bank of India. Within 48 hours, a confirmation e-mail and SMS is sent to you stating that the payment data has been updated in the registration portal. After this, proceed with the remaining part of registration process, and enter details filled by the bank authorities on the challan.
Step IV: Fill the remaining part of the form
Step V: Click on the PREVIEW button and print the form if required
Step VI: Download the admit card from the date given
