Fellowship Programs FPM

FPM program is an integrated Masters and PhD program is considered equivalent to a PhD awarded by a University.
A large majority of students who complete an FPM program end up as professors at Indian and Foreign Bschools, while some of them get into the industry.
A stipend amount is granted to each fellow student. The actual amount varies from IIM to IIM
An executive EFPM is also being offered by IIM Kashipur and IIM Raipur. This program is designed to be completed without full time stay on campus. However a certain min number of days have to be spent on campus. No Stipend is granted and a fee would be charged for the program

Selecting the Interview centre

For each IIM, students have to select an interview centre. Try to select the same centre for all IIMs to the extent possible. Since interviews will be held in Feb/March 2014, you have to consider your location at that time

SSC (Class X) and HSC (Class XII)

Please select the relevant Board and enter your percentage rounded off to the first decimal (ex: 75.6%). For the calculation of percentage, you have to consider all subjects in the mark sheet. This has to be done whatever be the formula used by the board for additional subjects.

Please select University Type and then your University. Most universities will come under the 1st category, i.e. Universities formed by the State or Central legislature or Deemed Univ. IITS and NITs form the next two categories.
Graduation Marks (percentage rounded off to 1 decimal point)
If graduation is complete mark complete. If in final year, mark incomplete. If incomplete give the percentage based on latest available marks
For calculating percentage, you have to follow the procedure used by the University.
If CGPA/DGPA is given, it has to be converted to percentage

  • Check if the University has a conversion formula. For example WBUT has a formula – CGPA/DGPA – 0.75* 10.
  • If the university has no such formula, then use CGPA/Max CGPA * 100. For example if you have got 7.6 out a max 10, then 76%

In case your University gives letter grades like A, B+ etc, then you need to get a certificate from the college/University that explains the conversion to %age.

Masters Degree

If complete mark complete, give percentage based on University rules. If incomplete based on latest available marks

Professional Courses

Only CA/CS and ICWA are considered as professional courses. You must have completed at least Inter level to mention in application form
Work Experience: Work Experience is defined as
Full time, paid work after graduation
Any internship etc that is part of your graduation course is not to be considered as work experience.
Work Experience has to be entered in months as on 31st Aug 2013

Selecting a Centre, Day and Slot

Select a centre that is conveniently located. Make sure that you verify the location personally before the D Day. The infrastructure of most centers would be reasonably good, but some centers have a better ambience. You can select colleges known to have good computer labs
Selecting a day is purely based on convenience. A lot of rumors are being spread that later days get difficult papers and weekends have tougher competition etc. There is no proof for any of these rumors.
Depending on how much more time you require for CAT prep, choose a later or earlier date.
Choose a slot based on your waking cycle. Students who tend to sleep late and wake late may better take the afternoon slot
Once you finish, you will receive admit card by email. A printout of the same has to be carried to the exam centre with a valid IUD proof. Passport, DL, PAN Card, Voter ID card may be use. For current college students, college I card may also be used.
Please note that you can edit or change your application form before 26th September. For that you will need to login into the website with the username and password created by you.
All the best!
For any further clarification, please get in touch with your center or email us
